Our Story
Hello and welcome to K9PAWPARK.
My name is Jane and I am the owner of K9PAWPARK Dog Exercise & Enrichment Field. You will see lots of pictures of my two treasured fur babies, Cookie (JRT) AKA The Boss, and Zimba (GSD) AKA Second in Command 😊. They have both taken a very active role in researching and testing the field, which we hope you all enjoy so so much. Since mid September 2 treasured has become 3 treasured fur babies. You will see pictures of Winter (NI), AKA The Rookie, as you can imagine he is keeping everyone on their paws 🙂
I have had a continuous and solid passion for all animals. This interest stemmed from a very early age, in fact as long as I can remember, the love of our family dog, family cats and my parents introducing me to the beauty of the animals on our farm, from pet calves, pet lambs, pony, then pet cows and pet bulls, I cherish so much all those memories. Today I look around, and still I am filled in amazement in the beauty of them all.
K9PAWPARK has been designed to promote enrichment through experiences with the idea of dogs having a CHOICE, allowing them to be fulfilled by many activities which are all perfect for all sized dogs. ‘Cookies Corner’ is designed for smaller dogs. ‘Zimbas Zone’ and ‘Winters Way’ is designed for larger dogs. That said, all dogs can play in all areas, whatever they choose (and is safe to do so).
Our field is available all year round for exclusive hire and we also run sessions for dogs to learn and play with other dogs, if this is their cup of tea 🙂
Our field is ideal for reactive/fearful/nervous dogs who need space away from other dogs or people. Our secure 6ft high fenced field allows dogs to simply choose what they would like to do, giving a dog a choice to explore, play and sniff safely.
Our field is ideal to work on your dog’s training, provide enrichment experiences, for deaf or nervous dogs as well as dogs recovering from operations, and for you, dog mums and dads, this also enables an enjoyable time for you too, its just a win win for a complete stress free time together.
Should you be like me and have an elderly dog, or perhaps your dog is frail or has limited sight, the field is set-up so you can wander around together in the large areas of open space, safely, or if their thing is chilling out and feeling the wind on their face smelling the air and all that it brings, or, the warmth of the sun on their bodies, as well as taking a look in the areas of enrichment too, its all their choice.
We are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and also have plenty of seating within the field, along with fresh water access for dogs.
REMEMBER: DOGS NEED MORE THAN JUST EXERCISE.
